Students in New York University’s “By Any Means Necessary: The Lives and Times of Malcolm X and James Baldwin” were treated to a walking tour of contemporary Harlem. Scholar tour guide Derrick Edwards was an outstanding cultural historian of the neighborhood and discussed the many changing transformations to the Harlem community that occurred before, during, and after Malcolm and Baldwin’s heydays.
