On September 10, 2015—-one year and 31 days after the killing of Michael Brown–Dr. Cornel West visited students in “Black Lives Matter” for a rousing discussion with NYU Gallatin Professor Frank Leon Roberts about Ferguson, the black prophetic tradition, and the legacies of Ida B. Wells, Malcolm X, Ella Baker, W.E.B. DuBois, and James Baldwin.
